Welcome to the Safety First Online Program

As new variants and a surge in Covid-19 cases continue to cause significant challenges to foodservice and hospitality industries, the need for consistent and clear guidance has never been more urgent.

The Aspen Institute’s Food & Society Program developed a free online training course that promotes safe restaurant dining for both customers and staff, including guidance on testing and vaccinations.

The CDC Foundation toolkit provides information, resources, and guidance on topics such as COVID-19 safety best practices, vaccine information, and mental health. The toolkit was created specifically to support frontline food industry workers in the Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, and Asian/Pacific Islander populations who are at increased risk for COVID-19.
